We do rigorous training in the three key areas of total
physical fitness: aerobic, anaerobic and flexibility. Our Tuesday and
Thursday classes do high intensity upper body calisthenics, coupled with a
tough, live/randori workout, which helps to increase your aerobic conditioning.
On Wednesday, we continue our upper body strength
training with rope climbing (perhaps the best way to gain strength in
gripping...key to successful judo play). We also conduct numerous ply-metrics
drills, including the speed ladder, to increase our lower body strength,
agility, speed and aerobic conditioning. We always stretch to enhance our
flexibility. |
